Chicken is a great healthy option as it is low in fat. To make this slow cooker whole chicken recipe rub your chicken in a mixture of cayenne pepper, thyme, and paprika. Leave to marinate overnight and then put in the crockpot for 7 – 8 hours on low or 4 – 5 hours on high.

Slow Cooker Beef BBQ Ribs

Cut your ribs into small pieces and then rub in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. No fat is required.

Put into the crockpot and pour over a mixture of a bottle of BBQ sauce and 2 bottles of water. Cook on low for 8 hours and then the meat will just slide off the bone. It’s delicious.

Slow Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage Recipe

Cut up an onion, 4 carrots, and 10 baby potatoes and put in the crock pot. Add water and then place 4 pounds of corned beef on top. Pour in 6 ounces of beer and cook on high for 8 hours. 1 hour before finishing, add chopped cabbage. Again no extra fat is used so it’s a healthy recipe, especially as it contains lots of nutritious vegetables.

Mix together 1 and a half pounds of ground beef, 1 and a half cups of breadcrumbs, 2 cloves of garlic, parsley, chopped onion, and a beaten egg. Make this into 16 meatballs and put in the crock pot. Then mix together a jar of spaghetti sauce, a can of tomatoes and a can of tomato puree. Add this to the meat and cook on low for 6 – 8 hours. Cut a 3 pound piece of pork loin into slices and add salt, pepper, garlic, chili peppers, chipotle sauce and half a cup of water. Cook for 7 hours on low. Rice which has been mixed with cilantro and lime juice makes a tasty accompaniment.

Now, this is an exciting recipe as you get the gravy as well as the chicken. Mix together parsley, thyme, paprika, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic and rub into the chicken with just a little olive oil. If you like Indian food, you will love this recipe. First of all cook chicken pieces in a skillet for a few minutes. Put them in the crock pot with carrots, onions, ginger and garlic. Whisk together 14 and a half ounces of chicken broth, curry powder, coconut milk, and salt. Pour this over the chicken and then cook on low for 6 – 8 hours or high for 3 – 4 hours.
