It is easy Japanese Chicken Katsu Curry with rice recipe. Japanese Curry or カレー (karē) is a very popular dish in and out of Japan.
It isn’t like any other curries in the world as it is more stew-like. The curries are served in three ways: curry rice ( karē raisu), curry udon or curry bread/donut (karē pan‘). I am not a big fan of the latter two but I love curry rice because it can be served with different meat.
To make the Japanese Chicken Katsu Curry, there is no need to cook the stew from scratch as instant curry roux (comes in cubes, like stock granules) are widely available in any Asian supermarket or mainstream grocery chains.
