Classic Meatloaf

This classic meatloaf recipe calls for ground beef and lots of healthy vegetables. The first process together 4 mushrooms, half a red bell pepper, half an onion, a carrot and a stick of celery. Combine this mixture with cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Add 1 and a half pounds of beef, an egg, a cup of breadcrumbs and Worcestershire sauce. Bake for 15 minutes at 325F. While this is cooking, make a glaze from 2 tablespoons of ketchup, a drop of hot sauce, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Pour over the loaf and bake for 40 minutes. Delicious.

All you have to do is mix 1 and a half pounds of ground beef together with ¾ cup of milk, ¾ cup oatmeal, a beaten egg, a sliced onion, salt, and pepper. Then put on the glaze which is comprised of 1tablespoon mustard, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and ¾ cup of tomato ketchup. Bake at 350F for 80 minutes. This is great served with mashed potato and gravy.

Tandoori Lamb Meatloaf

If you like Indian food, you will love this recipe. It’s very different from the classic meatloaf recipes we have shown you as it is made from lamb and lots of different spices. Mix together 1 pound of ground lamb, 5 cloves of garlic, a chopped pepper, a chopped onion, 2 beaten eggs and 5 tablespoons of tomato paste. To this add all the delicious spices; cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Bake this at 350F for an hour. During this time make the glaze. This is a really easy recipe just like our last classic meatloaf recipe. All you have to do is process 5 slices of bread, onion, and 2 garlic cloves. To this add 1 and ½ pounds of pork which is a nice variation on the typical beef recipe. Also add an egg, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup ketchup, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes. While it’s baking, make the glaze. This is a very simple glaze and all you have to do is mix ¼ cup ketchup with a ¼ cup barbecue sauce. Put this on the loaf and bake for 20 minutes. You will have a delicious and easy meal which can again be enjoyed with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Veal Meatloaf Recipe

You might not think of using veal in meatloaf, but it makes a tasty dish and this one doesn’t need a glaze. Mix together 2 pounds of minced veal, a sliced onion, ½ cup grated carrots, ½ cup tomato ketchup, 1 cup breadcrumbs, and a beaten egg. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, parsley, and chili. It takes five minutes to make and then you can relax while it bakes for an hour at 375F.

Classic Chickpea Vegan Meatloaf

Okay, so this isn’t a classic meatloaf in the true sense of the word, but we shouldn’t forget about our vegan and vegetarian friends and this does look like meatloaf. Again it’s simple to make as everything gets mixed together.

Put into your food processor a 14 ounce can of chickpeas. To this add a carrot, a piece of celery, an onion, and a garlic clove. Blitz these and then add a cup of breadcrumbs, a tablespoon of soy sauce, ¼ cup of non-dairy milk, a tablespoon of vegan Worcestershire sauce, a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of tomato paste. Season to taste. Bake for 30 minutes at 375F without the glaze and 30 minutes with the glaze. The glaze is different from a lot of the ones we have mentioned, but it is delicious enough to be used on any meatloaf. Mix together a tablespoon each of maple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. To this add a teaspoon of paprika and tomato paste. Great served with vegan gravy.

Turkey Meatloaf

Now we’re going to tell you how to make a meatloaf which is low in calories. It’s also very easy to make. It’s made out of turkey which is low in fat. Take 16 ounces of minced turkey and crumble in 8 ounces of sausage meat. To this add a cup of BBQ sauce, a beaten egg and stuffing mix. Sage and onion stuffing goes well with this dish. Pour a ¼ cup of BBQ sauce over the loaf and bake for one hour. It’s great with turkey gravy.

Seafood Loaf

Cook 2 cups of macaroni for 15 minutes. Meanwhile mix together 2 7 ounce cans of tuna, a cup of breadcrumbs, half a grated onion, half a cup of pitted olives and 4 beaten eggs.
