Cured Salmon Recipe

Russian style cured salmon. You only need 5 hours for this cured salmon.

  • 300 gram fresh salmon
  • 3 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 shot vodka
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 lemon zest


  • Dry the salmon with a towel. Do not remove the skin.
  • Mix salt with sugar. Sprinkle the container in which salmon will be cured with a mixture of salt and sugar (1/3 of the mixture). Sprinkle the rest of the mixture on top of the fish.
  • Add vodka and half of the lemon zest.
  • Put cured salmon in the fridge for 5-10 hours. Then brush the salt off.
